![]() The only suggestion I can offer before going back to the supplier or calling HP for technical support, would be to update the driver to the latest version that came out last month. I don't know why HP insists on continuing to use it in their notebooks. That model wifi card is plagued with that problem and more. Is there a simple solution or do I need to go back to the supplier? I tried troubleshooting today (normally I'm trying to get back online for my remote work) and the problem seems to lie with the Realtek disconnecting, however there is no fix available. After disconnecting from the network no wifi connections appear on this device until the computer has been restarted - which solves the issue but is not what I expect from a brand new laptop! None of the other devices using the same wifi have experienced any connection disruptions, so I know it is an issue with the laptop software/hardware. Othertimes I lock my screen while I'm away for lunch (an hour) and there is no issue on my return to work. It seems to happen when the screen is locked, however even if I'm only away for 3 minutes the connection is sometimes lost. This sometimes happens twice in the same day, other times I go a week without any issue. ![]() ![]() Since week 1 I have had an issue with the wifi disconnecting intermittently. This is my new laptop, purchased in February 2020.
